Privacy Policy
Effective: February 8, 2026
Tessuta is built by a solo founder who believes your data is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: as little as possible, and we never sell it.
Who is responsible
Tessuta is the data controller for information collected through this site. For questions about your data, contact hello@tessuta.com.
What we collect
- Email address – when you sign up for early access or submit the interview form.
- Interview responses – if you choose to answer our product questions, including your age range.
- Campaign attribution data – when you arrive via a link, we capture UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign), the referring website, and the page you landed on. This is submitted alongside your email to help us understand which channels bring interested people.
- Basic analytics – page views, referrer, country, device type. Collected via Umami (cookie-free, privacy-respecting).
How we use it
- To notify you when Tessuta launches or when early access opens.
- To understand what features matter most (from interview responses).
- To measure whether our landing page is working (aggregate analytics).
- To understand which channels and campaigns are most effective (attribution data).
Legal basis for processing
Under the GDPR, we process your data on these bases:
- Consent – you provide your email voluntarily by submitting the signup or interview form. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
- Legitimate interest – we use cookie-free analytics and attribution data to understand how the site performs, without identifying individuals.
What we don't do
- We never sell your email or personal data.
- We don't use tracking cookies or fingerprinting.
- We don't share your data with advertisers.
- We don't use localStorage. We use sessionStorage only to preserve campaign attribution during your visit — it clears automatically when you close the tab.
Third-party services and international transfers
Your data may be processed outside the EU by the following services. Each maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
- Formspree (US) – processes form submissions. Their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare (global) – hosts the site and provides CDN. Their privacy policy.
- Umami (EU) – provides cookie-free analytics. Their privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep your email and interview responses while Tessuta is an active project, and review stored data at least once a year. If you want your data deleted, email us and we'll remove it within 7 days.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Just email hello@tessuta.com.
Children's privacy
Tessuta is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it promptly.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, email hello@tessuta.com.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Effective" date above. Major changes will be noted on the landing page.
